About KL Dental Directory

What this directory is

KL Dental Directory is an independent, editorially neutral listing of dental clinics operating across Kuala Lumpur. We currently list 265 clinics, covering areas from Bangsar and Mont Kiara to Chow Kit, Ampang, and beyond. We are not a clinic, not an insurance panel, and not affiliated with any dental association. Our only job is to help patients find accurate, fairly ranked information before they book.

Who it is for

Anyone looking for a dentist in KL: new residents who have no local referrals, people comparing clinics for a specific procedure, or patients who want to check a clinic's patient sentiment before making an appointment. The directory is free to use and always will be.

Where the data comes from

We pull publicly available business data, including registered clinic names, addresses, operating hours, and contact details, from public sources. We do not invent or estimate any factual fields. For patient sentiment, we synthesise recent Google reviews to produce a plain-language summary of common themes: what patients tend to praise, what they flag as concerns, and how consistently those views appear. We do not republish individual review text, and we link directly to each clinic's Google listing so you can read the source reviews yourself.

How rankings are decided

Every clinic's position in category and area lists is calculated against a published rubric. The rubric weighs factors such as overall rating score, volume of reviews, recency of reviews, and completeness of public profile data. No member of the directory team manually adjusts a clinic's rank, and no payment of any kind affects where a clinic appears in earned results.

Sponsorship, when it appears

Some pages carry a sponsored placement. Sponsored listings are always labelled clearly with the word "Sponsored" and are displayed in a visually separated section, outside the ranked results. A clinic that takes a sponsored placement keeps its earned rank exactly where the rubric puts it. Sponsorship buys visibility in the sponsored section only, nothing else.

What a listed clinic can and cannot do

If your clinic is listed and you spot a factual error, such as a wrong phone number, outdated address, or incorrect hours, you can contact us to have it corrected. We will verify the correction against public records before updating it. What a clinic cannot do is request changes to its star-sentiment summary, its review themes, its score, or its ranking. Those are derived from data and the published rubric, not from editorial discretion, so there is nothing to negotiate.
